Important Pre-K Counts Documents
Frequently Asked Questions

When will I know if my child is accepted into the program for the 2018 - 2019 school year? We are hopeful that we will be able to notify families by June 2018 about acceptance into the program. However, notification will be dependent upon notification from the state.

Will the program be a half or full day program? The Pennsbury School District grant application will request that the program be a full day program for the 2018 - 2019 school year. This would require the program to be a minimum of 5 hours.

Do I need to submit my child’s application now even though the grant hasn’t been approved yet? Yes, it is important that you submit your application and all supporting documents as soon as possible. If you do not supply the proper documentation, we will be unable to process your child's application.

What happens if the grant is not approved for Pennsbury School District? While this is always a possibility, we are hopeful that the application will be approved as we have adhered to all requirements during the previous grant cycle. If the grant isn’t approved, we will not be able to continue with the PKC program as it is solely funded through the grant from the Office of Child Development and Early Learning.
