Ways to Become Involved

Sponsor a grade level or program, and develop a year long partnership to promote academic excellence


1. Provide rewards and incentives supporting students and/or programs that show the most improvement in reading, math, science, etc.
2. Have employees read to students or be a pen pal.
3. Invite a class to visit your company and learn about your business.
4. Hold a workshop for teachers to learn about good business practices and the latest business concepts.
5. Mentor a student.
6. Provide a guest speaker or be one yourself.
7. Promote a particular subject area with business resources/connections.
 
 
Support and/or sponsor a particular program or activity

1. Arts program
2. Gifted program
3. Mathematics program
4. Reading program
5. Science program
6. Music program
7. Parenting library
8. Physical education program
9. Drug and Alcohol Awareness program 
10. Reading Olympics program
 
Provide supplies, materials, resources, equipment

1. Donate equipment to school
2. Donate paper, pens, pencils, office supplies, student supplies 
3. Lend technical support, know-how, training for teachers/students
4. Fund supplies for a particular program (i.e. help purchase the paperback books for Reading Olympics; purchase classroom library sets in your business's name; purchase test-taking tip materials, recess games, educational games, playground equipment, etc.)
5. Provide tickets to cultural events
6. Donate CD's, videos, and musical instruments
7. Underwrite yearly subscriptions
