PENNIES FOR PATIENTS
Once again Makefield School will participate in raising funds for treatments and cures for blood cancer patients in conjuntion with the school program called the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Pennies for Patients.  Students and staff are encouraged to collect spare change during the week of February 25th - March 1st and place in the containers in each classroom.  More detailed info can be found in the flyer in our "Backpack" week!  
 
 
INTERNATIONAL FAIR - a few weeks away!
Please see the flyer in our "Backpack" regarding the 2019 International Fair.  It will be held on Friday, March 8th.  The format is a little different this year so please make sure to read the flyer for more detailed info.

An International Fair Passport Contest Cover is being offered to all students in grades K-5.  A passport is used for the night of the International Fair.  Please see the flyer in our "Backpack."  The deadline for entries is March 1st.
 
 
BUCKS COUNTY WORLD LANGUAGE ACADEMY OPEN HOUSE
Please see the flyer in our "Backpack" for the opportunity for current and prospective families to observe any of the Spanish classes that held before school at Makefield on February 19th, 20th or 21st.  Classes are offered for all students, K-5.  The BCWLA asks that if you plan to attend, please R.S.V.P.    
LUCKY CHARMS BREAKFAST
 March is right around the corner and that means it is time for the annual Makefield Lucky Charms Breakfast!  This breakfast is a fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and MS Walk!   All students are invited to this breakfast that will be held on Thursday, March 14th beginning at 8:15 am.  The cost is $5.00.  "Fast Pass" tickets can be preordered so no waiting in line the morning of the breakfast.  Please see the flyer in our "Backpack."

WEAR IT WEDNESDAY!
All students and staff are encouraged to wear their orange, black and/or white spiritwear on Wednesdays throughout the school year!!   
STUDENT CONDUCT POLICY
 Parents - if you have not sent in the Parent/Guardian Verification Sign Off Form from the Student Conduct Policy please do so at this time.  This booklet outlines the many policies of the school district including standards of behaviors, and attendance.  It also gives permission for your child to be photographed or interviewed at school as stated below.
 
 "Student photographs, identification, and interviews for all forms of print and electronic media occurring inside any Pennsbury school building or on any school premises shall be permissible with advance approval of the School District. Parents/guardians wishing to have their child(ren) excluded from such activities must notify the school principal in writing at the start of the school year or when the child is first enrolled in the School District if this occurs midyear. Questions concerning this District Photography, ID and Interview Clearances statement may be directed to the Coordinator  of Communications at 215.428.4178."

ON-LINE STUDENT REGISTRATION

The Department of Pupil Services is pleased to announce that student registration will take place online throughout the school year students entering the Pennsbury School District.    The registration link is available on the Pupil Services web page.  Families will complete the online registration information and then schedule a brief appointment with Pupil Services to complete registration. 

The registration can be completed using any browser, platform or mobile device.
