D. Special Admission

The Committee is firmly and permanently committed to the highest admission standards across all categories. Furthermore, the Committee acknowledges and is sensitive to the fact that special, unusual circumstances may arise. Therefore, the committee retains the right and privilege to admit a nominee(s) to the Hall under special exception circumstances. This criteria should be rarely utilized and under only documentable, very special conditions as determined by the committee. Examples of such a circumstance include, but are not limited to, the following:  changes in employment conditions, such as maternity leave; untimely death; permanent injury/illness; and extraordinary achievement/accomplishment in support of Pennsbury Athletics not covered under other sections.

Nominating Candidates

The nomination process is open subject to the candidate eligibility guidelines.

The committee has developed standard nomination and background information forms to facilitate processing.

Nominees will be contacted by mail and asked to return a completed standard background information form.

All nominations will be reviewed by the committee upon proper completion of forms.

Initial research is undertaken to determine eligibility.

Eligible nominees will be placed on the voting ballot.

Nominees not elected will be placed back in the pool and reconsidered every year.

Inducting Candidates

Overall Policies

The great majority of the inductees should be from the student-athlete category.

The Committee will make a determination annually as to the number of inductees each year. The target is approximately ten (10) inductions annually after the initial "catch-up" phase due to the passage of time.

Policies, procedures, and practices should be reviewed annually.
