The Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO) recognizes and congratulates Pennsbury School District as a recipient of the prestigious 2025 PASBO Award of Excellence in School Transportation. The award was presented at the recent PASBO Annual Conference in Hershey.
The PASBO Award of Excellence in School Transportation Operations is awarded each year to schools in recognition of their outstanding transportation services and operations. The award program, which is jointly sponsored by PASBO and Orbit Software, is designed to encourage best practices and to recognize adherence to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, client service, legal compliance, and financial integrity in transportation operations.
Following a comprehensive application and review process, a panel of transportation experts found that Pennsbury School District’s transportation program adhered to best practices across twelve categories of excellence, including vehicle maintenance, student safety, staff hiring and recruiting practices, emergency response, and communication plans.
“Pennsbury SD has demonstrated adherence to best practices that result in exceptional school business operations programs benefitting schools, students, and communities. said Hannah Barrick, executive director of PASBO. “PASBO is proud to recognize their efforts to adhere to best practices and to implement an outstanding transportation program for their students and community.”
