The Pennsbury School District has once again been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for their outstanding support and commitment to music education. Now in its 26th year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement for providing music access and education to all students. This is Pennsbury's 20th time being recognized as a Best Community.
"Music education allows every student to be creative and supports their social-emotional growth as individuals. It builds their confidence, fosters collaboration, and nurtures a lifelong appreciation for the arts while helping them develop critical thinking and communication skills ," said Matt South, Curriculum Coordinator of K-12 Vocal Music.
Felicia Hebenstreit, Curriculum Coordinator of Instrumental Music, commented, "This designation affirms our proud tradition of musical excellence and reinforces our commitment to high standards. It also ensures that we can continue providing our students with outstanding opportunities and meaningful experiences."
