Construction Updates

New view for this week! This 360-degree video was taken after the workday on what will be the foundation for the new high school's 3-story academic wing. 

In this week's video update you will:

• Drainage basins at the intersection of Hood Boulevard and South Queen Anne Drive are nearing completion. 
• Installation of the underground utility infrastructure, including the stormwater and sanitary sewer systems continue along Hood Boulevard.
• Construction of a drainage swale along South Queen Anne Drive has been completed, and a large temporary sediment basin that will connect to the existing basin is under construction along the campus access road.

Coming soon:

• Concrete foundations and footings will begin to be poured in the next few weeks in preparation for the steel that will be installed later this fall.

We remain on schedule and on budget for a September 2029 opening.

In this week's update you will see:

• Crews continuing to prepare and compact the building pad, which is an important step in creating a solid foundation for the future school.
• Concrete foundations and footings will begin to be poured soon, marking another exciting milestone as the building starts to rise from ground.
• In the distance, you will see crews installing the underground utility infrastructure, including stormwater and sanitary sewer systems that will serve the new building. While much of this work will soon be hidden beneath the surface, it is a critical part of the project's long-term infrastructure.

We remain on schedule and on budget for a September 2029 opening.

• Construction trailers have been delivered.
• Excavation of the stormwater drainage basin near the corner of Hood Boulevard & Queen Anne Drive continues.
• The foundation work continues for the main portion of the building.
