Start School Write is a back-to-school event organized by Pennsbury School District staff to provide Pennsbury students with school supplies. This event supports students in need and ensures they are well prepared for the start of the school year.
The event will look like a back-to-school shopping experience, where students can “shop” for backpacks, lunchboxes, pencil cases, and other items, while all standard necessities will be packed for them based on age, grade, and the school's required materials. The event also offers student haircuts and styling based on their preference for all hair textures.
The event also allows the community to give back and support children within our district through thoughtful donations and volunteering. Start School Write is a meaningful way to show our students that they are cared for and supported by their school community, by helping them feel confident and encouraged to start the upcoming school year WRITE.
Mission
As equity is the foundation of the mission of Pennsbury, this event will help all children have access to the necessities for a strong start to the school year.
